Seek quests are special type of short-term quests, where an immortal
describes a location, and player characters participating in quest are
expected to find this location. Usually there are 10 locations in such
quest, and first three successful seekers get some points, and then all
participators are rewarded according their final scoring.

Gathering Quests

Gathering quests are those quests, where players are required to find
something and bring it to someone (or somewhere). It may be needed to
kill some monsters during the quest, but it's not the goal of this kind
of quest. Gathering quests can be both short-term (few hours) or
medium- or even long-term (about a month, even more in some very
special cases).
You see, Immortals are lazy bunch and when they want something, they just announce a quest to make players get it :)

Story Quests

Story quests provide a means to advance some underlying plots in the
game. Usually they are part of grand struggle between gods and other
divine powers.

Seek&Destroy Quests

Seek&Destroy quests are various quests where players are expected
to destroy some monsters. Usually it requires special preparations
either to locate the target at all or to create conditions which allow
even to harm the target.
